You Are Special

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works [Lord]; my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:14 ESV

Whether you have a disability or not, know that you are special in God’s eyes. He created you to have meaning and purpose and no one can take that away from you–your purpose. You are beautiful. And with tender love and care, God sent His son as an atonement for your sins. Why? Because He loves you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. God hand-picked you to be well…you. Don’t try to be a Johnny or Samantha, just be you because you are beautiful and you truly are special.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Whatever trials you are going through right now–and believe me, I know they must be tough–know that this is a passing storm that will not envelop you forever. Like every moment (good or bad) in your life, this too is fleeting. Your suffering will not last forever and soon after joy will be present. After a storm, comes a rainbow…and in fact there are more rainbows in the sky than grey clouds that precede them. Things happen for a reason. God loves you and in your trials, hold onto that love because unlike rainy days and sunshine, it never goes away.

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Joshua 1:5

God will never leave you nor forsake you. That’s a fact. Even in trials, He is there to guide you and help you grow. Remember, experiences help us grow into the person we will someday become. Be comforted in knowing that God is with you every step of the way. He doesn’t give you anything you can’t handle. If something seems tough, just know that He is there with you helping you through it–and yes, this too shall pass for something better will come soon.

You are courageous

You are made with love
