Have you ever started a conversation with “I remember this one time…” and suddenly forget?

That’s called ‘memory block’, or my favourite term ‘brain fart’ (sorry if this sounds juvenile, but everyone says it at least once in their lives).

When you have a memory block and try to retrace your steps of where you left off (which I do often in  conversation) it can be extremely annoying, right?

It’s a good thing to try and think before you tell a really long story or explanation, similar to an outline.

However, if you do not have the time to make mental jot notes before a chat, maybe consider splitting your story in half or in thirds, similar to a play…and if you want to be extra creative, why not act it out!

Just a thought! Try it out sometime.
